Billing depends on the file type. PDFs are counted by physical page. Presentations are counted by slide. Images are counted one image at a time. Word, text, and Markdown files are converted by content length. Spreadsheets are converted by total row count.
Processing credits are deducted when a job completes successfully.

Processing credits expire 3 months after purchase. Plan your purchase around the documents you expect to process during that period.
